Historically Black Colleges and Universities Stories
Our Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are testaments to African American achievement and activism. They reflect the determination of generations of black Americans to receive a quality education, even in the face of profound discrimination. The historic buildings on HBCU campuses, many of which were built and designed by African American architects, also hold a collection of stories and artifacts that reflect the important legacy of the black educational experience.
