Colonial National Historical Park

  • Location: Yorktown, Virginia

This HOPE Crew project repaired the chimney and other masonry elements of Ballard House, Dudley Digges House and Moore House at Colonial National Historical Park in Yorktown, VA. The Park is made up of the area in and around Yorktown, Jamestown, and Williamsburg, VA - also known as the Historic Triangle. The area is home to the earliest recorded English settlements on in the United States as well as an area of great significance to the Native American community.

Corpsmembers for this project are from Environmental Stewards, National Park Service's Historic Preservation Training Center serves as preservation expert, and the funding for it was provided by the National Park Service.
